You are invited to join area farmers, industry partners, and specialists for a field day Thursday, Aug. 12, at the Bay Farm Research Facility in Columbia, Mo. This half-day, row-crop-focused event includes a hands-on look at cover crops, non-traditional weed control methods, pollinator buffer strips, soil health and water quality practices, along with the latest in SOYLEIC soybean breeding. Participants can also learn more about the emerging carbon credit markets, and the role ecosystem markets could play in future crop production. Registration at this event, organized by Missouri Corn and Missouri Soy checkoff programs, will start at 8:30 a.m., with the program kicking off at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided, and the event is scheduled to conclude shortly thereafter.
