Corn Growers Support Kehoe in Lieutenant Governor Race
(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.)—The Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA) today joined fellow agricultural organizations announcing their endorsement for Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe ahead of the 2020 statewide election. A membership-based organization representing corn farmers across the state, MCGA supports candidates with proven records on policy issues impacting corn growers.
“Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe is a strong supporter of farmers and a leading voice in Missouri agriculture,” said MCGA President Mike Moreland of Harrisonville. “A farmer himself, Lt. Gov. Kehoe brings his experience and firsthand knowledge to provide the tools and resources to grow our state’s top industry. He recognizes the important economic role the corn and ethanol industries have in our local communities and the need for improved transportation infrastructure for our products. We appreciate his hard work on behalf of Missouri corn growers and are proud to endorse Mike Kehoe for Missouri lieutenant governor.”
Kehoe was awarded the association’s Public Servant Award in 2015 for his strong support in the State Capitol on corn, ethanol, and transportation initiatives. MCGA has also endorsed another farmer, Gov. Mike Parson, in the 2020 election.
MCGA was formed in 1978 to advance policies that will help protect the rights of farmer-members, build new markets for corn, and increase opportunities through partnerships within agriculture and beyond. To learn more, visit www.mocorn.org.
