Yoder Elected To Missouri Corn Board
(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.)—Addie Yoder of Leonard, Mo., was recently elected to the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC) board of directors. Yoder began her volunteer service to corn farmers effective Oct. 1.
“Our family chooses to be involved in Missouri Corn because we know the value of corn and advocacy across northeast Missouri,” Yoder says. “Sharing the connections between the corn we grow, the choices we make for our farm and family, and the opportunities ahead is incredibly important. I look forward to serving my fellow growers in a new way on the Missouri Corn board of directors.”
Yoder replaces Brent Hoerr of Palmyra, Mo., who served nearly a decade on the MCMC board of directors. She will be nominated as a candidate for the Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA) board at the organization’s annual meeting in January.
“We would like to welcome Addie and her experiences to the board,” says incoming MCMC Chairman Brian Lehman of Versailles. “We look forward to adding new perspectives to conversations and programs to help move our organization forward.”
The MCMC board of directors is comprised of 14 farmers elected from across the state. This volunteer board was formed in 1984 with the passage of a corn checkoff and is dedicated to market development, research, and education. To learn more, visit www.mocorn.org.
