Korff Inducted To National Corn Hall Of Fame

Posted on: March 4, 2014

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.)–Rob Korff of Norborne, Mo., was inducted into the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Recruiter Hall of Fame during the annual NCGA Awards Banquet at the 2014 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas, Feb. 28. Korff, past president of the Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA), earned the recognition through his efforts recruiting members in the Show-Me State.

“Rob has been a great asset to our organization,” noted MCGA CEO Gary Marshall. “He understands the importance in being involved and engaging on issues at a grassroots level. He’s not only done a tremendous job rallying fellow growers, but led our organization with passion. We appreciate his commitment and thank him for his outstanding service to Missouri growers.”

Korff is only the third Missouri corn grower to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, an honor bestowed on individuals who have excelled in recruiting new corn grower members in their respective states. Throughout his nine-year tenure on the MCGA board, Korff worked with growers by hosting golf tournaments and membership events as well as participating in industry discussions on key agricultural issues. Last March, Korff was named NCGA’s Top National Recruiter for 2012.

“Being recognized by NCGA is a great honor, but it is just as rewarding to see so many growers becoming further involved in our industry,” said Korff. “In order to be successful, farmers must stand together to be heard. A membership in our association is an easy way to keep up on policy issues that matter and take an active role in promoting and defending our way of life.”

MCGA is comprised of over 2,300 members dedicated to growing and defending the corn industry. Established in 1978, the grassroots association works in the best interest of farmers on key agricultural issues and fights for pro-agriculture, pro-corn legislation.
